Ray was retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company and was a 50 year member of the IBEW and a Telecom Pioneers Indiana Shores Life Member. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, honorably discharged from the Signal Corps.
Ray was always ready with a song, a joke, or a story. He truly enjoyed any opportunity to perform. Ray was a long time player with the Genesius Group and performed with the Highland Players and other local performing groups. Prior to his illness, Ray was the Artistic Director for the Senior Sounds of Music (a group of talented seniors who provide entertainment for groups and clubs in the area). Most especially, Ray was a devoted husband and an outstanding father and grandfather. Ray truly touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be sadly missed. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
